Acer Tree Company is looking for an experienced Arborist Crew Leader who takes pride in doing quality tree work and leading a solid crew. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys being outdoors, working with their hands, and mentoring the next generation of arborists.
As a Crew Leader, you’ll guide a small team in performing safe, professional tree care while helping train apprentices and keeping jobs running smoothly. Our crews work on a variety of projects including tree removals, pruning, plant health care, and hazard mitigation for residential, commercial, and municipal clients.
What You’ll Do
- Lead and manage a crew on daily tree care operations
- Perform tree removals, pruning, and trimming using climbing, rigging, and mechanical equipment
- Identify potential hazards and plan safe work procedures before climbing or felling
- Operate and maintain equipment including chainsaws, chippers, skid steers, and trucks
- Ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Communicate with clients on site and answer questions about the work being performed
- Help train and mentor apprentice arborists and crew members
- Coordinate with the office and team members to keep jobs running on schedule
- Review job details, and work orders for accuracy
- Maintain and inspect climbing gear and safety equipment
- Assist with site cleanup and ensure job sites are left neat and professional

Qualifications
- ISA Certified Arborist
- CTSP is a plus
- TRAQ is a plus
